So, I was doing my Daily Text reading last Saturday and decided to get creative. I asked an AI to create an illustration based on 1 Peter 5:8.

Now, I’ve read this verse more times than I can count. But what happened next? Well, it blew my mind!

The AI created this intense image of a lion that was far from your average king of the jungle. This beast was all fire and fury. It was staring at me, its eyes burning with a fierce intensity that pierced the screen.

And the background? Pure chaos. Destruction as far as the eye could see. But the lion? It was totally calm and collected, as if the chaos didn’t even affect it. What a powerful and striking image!

A Stirring Reminder of Satan’s True Nature

This illustration stirred deep emotions within me. It made me think about Satan’s true nature in a new way.

Usually, in our publications, we see him depicted as a fallen angel or a human-like figure (or dragon). But this? This was completely different altogether.

I’ll be honest – the image actually gave me a bit of a scare and unsettled me. And that’s when it hit me: Satan is a real and dangerous threat to our spirituality. He is ruthless and determined to destroy us.

Yes, I knew Satan was our enemy. But this illustration made it real in a new way.

It made me see how relentless Satan is in destroying our relationship with Jehovah. He doesn’t care about collateral damage and would burn the whole world down if it meant taking us down with it. Satan might be invisible, but he’s a destructive force in our day-to-day lives.

It was a sobering thought.

Understanding your enemy and realizing the seriousness of the danger makes you even more determined to stay watchful, doesn’t it?

Finding Courage in Jehovah’s Protection

This brings me to the fact that we can’t forget that we are not alone in this fight. With Jehovah on our side, we have nothing to fear. He’s given us the spiritual armour we need to stand firm against Satan’s attacks.
